The games don't run at all for me...as soon as I try and click on a game or press Enter to make it work, the emulator itself just shuts off as if it were about to load the game...and just never does. I'm on winxp pro...anyone else getting this error? So I went becak to his v0.64

Download the latest official mame32 .67 and see if that works for you, because this is based on the same source.

I can run both mame32 .67 and mame32k .67 works just as well.

But I have only tested it offline...

Btw, I'm on Win98SE

just got it working under default game properties on the misc tab i unchecked use pre-0.63 timing system
works fine now! :lol:

Well I fiddled around with the default options (esp. under "display") but I can't get certain games to run, like Marvel vs Capcom (yet mvsf and xmvsf work...) I think this is partially due to mame 0.67 itself, as alot of ppl have said that less games work for them now. Oh well, best to keep 2 versions of mame32k running depending on what game u want to play.

Here is a way to work around that 0.67k problem.
Go to gane default options.
tick and untick something, then run game which will fix it.

You have to do this evertime the mame.exe is executed thou.

The only problem I've noticed is that Splatterhouse (Japan) doesn't seem to work.

When I run it, the game immediately crashes out back to Mame, no screen, nothing. I will have to check and see if this problem exists in the official mame32 as well...

I mean a lot of games still don't work online (Joust) but I haven't noticed any NEW problems other than that.

Perhaps we should get a list of "nonworking in kaillera" thing going?

Like those catlist things... and one for sorting out multiplayer games too that'd be cool, but I digress!

You can set options without having to change options everytime you run the .exe

here's a general explanation:

1. open mame32k.exe and go to Options/Default Options

2. make any changes, hit 'Apply' then 'OK'

3. go to Options/Reset To Default, check 'All Games To Use Default Options', then hit 'OK' and it should prompt you to reset and close mame32k.exe

After it closes and you run mame32k.exe again, your options will be set for all games. If you want different options for certain games, just right-click on the game title in your list and go to 'Properties' to make option changes for just that 1 game. :fadein:
