HKaillera was all brown? Never noticed that. You know in any version of mame32k you can change the colors and stuff, but some people put in their own background images (which you can change by deleting or renaming the original background image file found in the bkground folder).
As for Kawaks I haven't used it in a long time, so I don't recall but I don't think it had brown or poop either.
When I say "better" talking about emulators with kaillera support I am basically talking about a few considerations:
-online play stability and features
-offline playability (would I ever want to use this to play games offline?)
-games supported (does it support all the games I play, does it keep up with the latest developments in emulation?)
I agree that Mame is convenient. It has the most games, and it's not true that one emulator HAS to support every game on the planet. Back in the day we used multiple emulators to play a range of arcade games. Now that is still true but Mame has sucked up a lot of that field. If an emulator is better for a certain game, I can't blame people for choosing it.
Set your mojob mame color in display to match your stupid ass desktop color to avoid black screen in netplay, fukaz. t(';'t -TFR, AD 2-20-02
