Could someone just post step-by-step instructions how to get the SNK vs Capcom to work?

I've dled the Mame32 from the link and the svcplus.zip with butt-t0rrent. I've installed the emulator and the svcplus.zip is in the roms directory, but Mame doesn't list it in the available list.

You can't play rared games in mame (or any other emulator that I know of).

CHD files have to be UNrared. r0m files are normally zipped and have to have the proper naming conventions.

I suggest getting ClrMamePro (or Romcenter if you prefer) and have it scan and rename your roms according to the emulator you're using.

Yes, even Mame32 More! .84u3.

If your roms are named correctly and pass the audit, then you should be set. Make sure you specified the correct directories.

PS: NONE of the CPS2 and NeoGeo games have CHD (compressed hard drive image) files.

These hard drive images only apply to about 38 games (50, including clones).

Chd's must be UNcompressed to use. I drop them in the same folder with "roms" and they will be recognized after an audit by mame32.

The r0m is zipped, not rared.
265-c1.bin is 8mb (identical to c2, c3 etc.) in the zip but 4mb extracted and isn't detected by MAME so I'm assuming it's a bad file.

I spent an hour playing around with Romcenter, CLRMame Pro, and the dat files. Both of those mojob suck and both failed to rename .r0m's to .BIN even when the .r0m's were available.

Who the mojob decided to change everything from .r0m to .BIN anyway? What a mojob headache

like i told alot of people if ur snk games rnt showing that means u dont have the newest neogeo.zip file u have to go find it i would put a link but i done to much for all u guys as it is if some1 can post a link for the people missing the neogeo.zip file please do.

Ok guys got Snk vs Capcom to work. This is how I did it. I created a folder called roms in my mame32 directory. I put the snk vs capcom in the folder as well as the latest neogeo bios. Then I right clicked on the snk vs capcom r0m and chose the open with option and used the mame/kaillera. The r0m loaded right up with no missing file errors. I got it running with antroscopic filtering and
hq4x and man this makes the x-box verson look weak.

It seems that gamepad/joystick support is not working even though I selected it in the option menu.

umm u didnt need to do all the just put the svcplus.zip in ur roms folder and make sure u have the directorys set up in ur mame to the r0m folder

well all the files work u just not doing things right me and my friends all have the same files that i sent them and they have no problems at all and all the games i posted show up with no problems at all ur 1 out of 3000 who has a problem most people who have a problem dont know the basics of mame

ok, so the normal mame is too much of a biatch to run these, but wow, kaillera is awesome. Well, your all crazy fooks who don't know how to use command prompt, I assume you have all your roms in the roms folder. Make sure the neogeo bios is there and open command prompt to the directory where mame is installed. Type in mame32m <name of r0m> and it will work. Oh, thanks for all these great roms, I was worrying about where I would get these, I have all the other versions, just not the latest ones, you guys rock.

oh, sinc you probably don't get that, say the file is rotd.zip, typ. in

mame32m rotd

make sure your in the right directory.

Once again, great roms, I'm waiting for marvel vs capcom 2 though

Also GGXX because the one for pc is kinda screwed when it comes to recognizing my joystick >.<

u dont have to do all that command stuff what u trying to do confuse every1 on here this is the windows version of mame not dos no need to use command if people know what they r doing then it will work fine also if u guys r trying these roms on other emu's of mame besides mame32more!0.84u3 it will not work they only work for mame32more!0.84u3 so maybe thats y some of u guys r having problems and for the last time all the neogeo games need the neogeo.zip file in ur r0m folder to get them to work those r the files that r missing so dont ask y ur r0m is not working get the neogeo.zip file and u will be fine i wouldnt take the time to upload poop that didnt work i want more people to open there mojob eyes and start upgrading to the new mame so we can play other games besides marvel vs capcom all the mojob time....
