Quesiton regarding 4 player games and cheats for online play

How can i set nba jam to load with 4 players online. It supports 4 players but is only set at 2 players.

Also.. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 I want to release the characters for good. What can i do so ermac and others are playable online?

It should support 4 players.... ignore the 2/2 thing.

As for enabling secret characters for UMK3 to use online... i believe thats not possible... both players would need to have the exact same savestate and I don't think mame32k supports savestates.....

Crap.. yeah i figured......

and no.. when we load it it only allows for 2 players to start no one else.. =\

any where else i can look into this to try and get an answer?=\

Have you tried opening the test menu and configuring it so that it's on 4p mode?

UMK3/MK3 (last time I checked anyway.. haven't tried it in .62 or .63) stores the secret characters in NVRAM.. so if NVRAM is supported and both players have the nvram with the characters saved, then it should work.

Mameworld had the NVRAM's downloadable for these games with the secrets, but it was for an OLD version and doesn't work with the latest. I think the nvrams are version dependent after all...


NBA JAM/TE has four players and I've gotten it to work before... lots of fun too.
