from 0.84 to 0.86

what the hell do i do? i unzipped the blasted thing into the finalburn folder
now i see this "kaillerasrv.exe" and i ran it, said it was trying to touch master server, and then it said it touched it. and that was all

when i start final burn, kailler 0.84 is still loading up

i tried deleting it, then i had to resinstall/copy final burn again, ack!!

can someone tell me what to do please - i R stupid!!!

you dont need to unzip kaillerasrv into the same folder. try putting it in a folder of its own. the file you should be running for fba is fba.exe

the file you should be running for kaillera server when hosting is kaillearsrv.exe

two different things.

and i did what you said by putting Kaillera 8.6 in a folder of its own, same crap!!

hmmm...i didnt quite understand what the main problem was but now that you replied, i think i know what it is you're trying to do.
if it's just the kaillera version you're trying to update, then try and replace the .dll file. copy the kailleraclient.dll file from mame32k (latest ver. is .67)and paste it over the kailleraclient.dll for fba.exe
that should update it from 0.84 to 0.86

now...for running kaillera server in a folder of it's own, it should be 0.86 to begin with if you installed the latest version. that's different from fba. i was confused because you were mentioning both fba and kaillerasrv as 2 different things into one problem...i guess.
